Planning a great motivational event is a sure-fire way to motivate your audience to perform, but if you don’t make your event attendees fully aware of the benefits they’ve earned, you may fall short of your event goals.
Every motivational event experience begins with a succinct and vibrant message at ZAS INDIA.
A simple definition of motivation is “the process by which people are driven to act in a certain way.” (Getz&Page, 2016) This could relate to anything; it could be a person wanting to lose weight or someone having an opportunity to attend a concert that they may never get the chance to again. Both situations need motivation to complete. Whereas defining experience is not so easy as every individual is different, what might be fantastic for one person may be living hell for another. Therefore here at ZAS INDIA the event manager will carry out a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) analysis so it is easier for them to reduce the risk of people having an unhappy emotional response to the event.
The best way to create a motivational event employees, we at ZAS INDIA like to engage employees (at all levels of the company) in the planning process. This is not the same as creating a committee that makes all of the decisions – that is a role reserved for you. However, employee engagement in terms of surveys, a focus group, a working session, etc. can help set the stage for success of the motivational event.
Our motivational events have a keynote speaker or if it’s going to be for a specific theme like for example, to a given department (like sales), we make up the group to be engaging. It’s easy to fall into a trap by selecting a speaker or developing a program that will primarily appeal to one segment of our audience.
We try to keep our content gender-neutral and culturally sensitive. And if we are going to have a keynote speaker, we make sure she or he is the right fit when these considerations are taken into account as well. We believe that this egalitarian configuration and consciousness will go a long way toward creating the right atmosphere for an event that truly motivates people.
The sign of a successful employee motivational event is that attendees leave feeling that they have been motivated, and not that they have been told to be, act or feel motivated.
